Default Santa Anita gets 2008 Breeders Cup

Awesome. I like when it is out there. So I guess it will be held on a synthetic surface for the 1st time. Should be real interesting. I would assume we will get more of a European contingent than normal.

Except for the minor detail that there will be no dirt races.

So the first year they add the BC Dirt Mile it is actually the BC Dirt Mile and 70 yards, now for the second year it will be the BC Synthetic Mile. Good planning.

The outside post is in absolute bitch in those two-turn, one-mile race at SA.

It's really a shame....because the Breeders Cup was always my single favorite sporting event...from both a sports fan standpoint, and most certainly from a bettors standpoint.

What a mess things have become.

I hope you have as much luck. How does your man like the synthetic surface?

Whoa.. This came up on the show yesterday and I suggested that SA was looking like a major candidate but didn't think it would happen so quick. Figure CD in '09 and back to BEL in '10..

Richard is a big advocate of synthetic surfaces , in fact when the training track at Keeneland first opened we had some horses stabled there and he couldnt wait to get on it . The proof is in the pudding , I check legs everyday and I can tell you Cushion track is better for the horses.

We just ran the B.C. on an incredibly biased track, and most everybody still didn't seem to mind much. You pathetic losers just read the lady say her horses' legs hold up better on it,but you want them to run on the more dangerous surface(a surface that they can't seem to ever get fair on B.C. Day, anyways.) EITHER YOU GIVE A SHT ABOUT THE HEALTH OF THESE HORSES ,OR YA JUST DON'T.We actually have no choice out here,we get pathetic field sizes if we were to just keep running on dirt. That's just a fact.

If that's true....Great....Breeders Cup over poly-track.

I wonder if there will be any good college football games on to watch that day?...in between the watered down turf races anyway.

Obviously now.....a 2008 Breeders Cup in Hong Kong looks like it would have been a spectacular idea!

Heck, if they move the thing from Santa Anita to Khe Sahn it would be an improvement.
