Boy Showing Up was AWESOME. I was so totally wrong about this horse. Looks like all the talk was well worth it. Great job to all who wagered on him.

I wasn't going to play the race and then I saw 25-1 on Kip, so I put in a small win bet on him, what a monster race Kip De Ville ran, he looked like one of those European rabbits only he looked like he did it easy and wasn't being urged through it. I tell you what that was a mind blowing race by Kip, I really don't know how to describe it, absolutely flying and he looks like he was gliding along, they need to harness that speed to be effective at a distance, but great race from him.

Go Between got 3rd

Yes KIP did run off to a 16 length lead. He ran a HUGE race.

The horse that ran huge was the winner. He reeled that horse in and blew by him.

You gotta see it to understand how awesome Kip Deville was!!!! Words cant describe it. I know one guy (bold ruler) who trashed the horse up and down who just blew the tri and exacta because of him. Went out to a 15 length lead from the 14 hole and ran 6F in 1:08:4 and still held 2nd. Trust me, Showing Up wants no part of Kip in a rematch with a real jock on his back. Hes the story of this race, and will get more attention the winner. Go Between was 3rd, delighting those who used him in the trifecta!!!!!!!!

What a jealous prick. Showing up wants no part of Kip? His real jock. The longer they go the begin the winning distance. Your such a big man, right here Oracle, lets have somebody here hold the money, and I will put up any amount you want in the next head to head. Big Talker-Oracle. Your horse lost. Period. Uncontested lead and he still got blown away.

Wrong.

That was a freak effort....someone will head him next time and he'll go straight backwards....first time Dutrow is as powerful an angle as there is in horse racing....I'll take Class (Showing Up) over Meds nine out of ten times...I don't see Kip Deville running big in the Va. Derby and he certainly won't beat Showing Up, who is arguably still improving.....if he was going to beat him it would have been today IMO.....he is a run-off type of horse and that's the way he has to race...just look at his PPs...I've seen this horse race a few times....he is a feast or famine type and will throw-up after being pressured through a nuts half-mile in the Va. Derby next out.....

What kind of meds are you referring to? Lubrisyn? Or something illegal?

Did Kip Deville really steal off to a 16 length lead? I'm sure the announcer was wrong -anyway, holy cow. Poor Kip - he really did run a stunning race, but he ended up setting up for Showing Up........

Keep your petty jealousy to yourself. I just made a few grand and my friend just cleared over $25K. Dutrow's horse is another Sinister Minister. Showing Up is a future star. A star, just like Barbaro.

"Dope."

..This might be the key word of your entire sentence.....I know Kip Deville from the Louisiana/Texas area and he is not the kind of horse that is good enough to go 1:08 and change and still hold off most of these type of quality turf horses....that horse was breathing fire in the stretch...

Showing Up has MOUNDS of class...what a freakin' nice horse.....I love this horse and we'll see him for a while too (baring serious injury) because of his blue collar, obscure pedigree....his stud value isn't much until he wins a couple of important Gr. I's...

Breathing fire? Joel you lost me there. Of course he was, and he still dug in for the place after setting a blistering pace. Rick moves horses up, thats why they bought him, with that hope. Obviously hes not the same horse now he was then. Unless you think its irrational to believe that Rick move dhim way up off the other guy.

No, as I mentioned, first-time Dutrow is one of the best betting angles in our sport....just like first time Cole Norman, etc.....I won't elaborate on why I think they are so good with almost every horse they claim/acquire off of any other trainers in North America...

Right, of course you won't. It couldnt be the legal stuff he uses like adequan, legend, lubrisyn, the very best blacksmith alive. It coulodnt be that every horse he gest who is off behind gets a glutial blister like only DR all can give em. Couldnt be the dietary supplements or the fact that he got a blueprint on how to train top horses from Bobby Frankel who used to ship into Ricks barn before he stabled in NY full time in the summer and tell him what he wanted done and how to do it. Nah, couldnt be that.
Comparing him to Norman is quite unfair. How many grade ones or champs has Norman trained?

Norman and Dutrow are the same...they just get a different range of horse flesh due to the geographic area and circuit both cater to.....my trainers give my horses every med and supplement you mentioned above and he doesn't get the same results as Dutrow and he has been training for 35 yeras and is very sharp......lets face it, he is using more than hay, oates and water......

The dope doesn't bother me, the lack of respect for Showing Up does. He was much the best and people aren't giving him the respect he deserves. I believe the plan is for Showing Up to run at 4. I guess if he won the 4 races and the $5 million bonus then he might be retired to stud. He isn't that big, only 15.3 hands, just like Strategic Mission, but he has a great demeanor and a really nice turn of foot. People forget but SM is a Mr. Prospector. Not exactly garbage, and a TV Commercial (3rd in derby) mare on the bottom isn't bad either. I can't see anyone beating him unti the BC. No three year old is in his league on the turf.
