Default Hurricane Run on Sunday

Not just Deep Impact but Hurricane Run is entered on Sunday in the GP de Saint Cloud. Shirocco will not be going so it should be another weak field for HR to destroy in France.

With all due respect, any field with Pride entered shouldn't be considered weak.

Policy Maker is a nice horse, but like HR... she's amazing.

Should be a good one.

Isn't Shamdala pretty good?

Saint Cloud is a beautiful place. I love how the horses pull up around the tree past the finish line.

Shamdala just won a G1 in Italy last week so she might be doubtful. I decent consistent filly.

Missy I think Pride is a decent horse and she deserves a G1 win. But it shouldnt be winning on Sunday. The world champ should win this easily. She's probably rated just below Alexander Goldrun who was second to HR last time so it would be a shock if shed win. Policy Maker is another decent horse but not a top class one. If Shirocco raced, it'd be some contest, but alas, not to be!!

I can understand and respect your thought and wish you the best of luck.

Pride..... do you remember the Prix Foy Grey d'Albia Barriee (sp?)? She was lovely winning that one, beating Shirocco and Alkaased. Second in the Champion Stakes behind David Junior and finishing ahead of Rakti (my favorite horse of all time ), Oratorio, Alexander Goldrun, Pinson, Echo of Light, Touch of Land..... a few others who i just can't remember right now.

I'll never understand why she's so underated.....

Anyway, hope they all come home safe and that she gets some respect if she should win it.

(Can you be nice and not call me Missy? it makes me sound old which I certainly am NOT).

So it comes down to HR and his rabbit (Petrograd), Policy Maker and his rabbit (Near Honor) Laverock, and the lovely Ms. Pride?

Pride, all the way.

Oui, oui, monsieur! Saint-Cloud was the only track running at the time the hubby took me to Paris (professional meetings, talking about quasi-stellar objects, interstellar hydrogen clouds, dark matter, etc. I didn't attend the sessions.) Only left-handed track in Paris, elegant grandstand, wide open expanse of green atop a long climb from the river, and the tip of the Eiffel Tower visible in the background.

Going back to Paris this summer, but will have to take a day-trip to Normandy to see the racing at Deauville this time.
