Question How did you do this year?

I often wait for a few more weeks, but for me, the vote is in, and besides I hear the world might end in a few weeks, (Just when I'm watching my 50/1 shot complete the pick 6!)...

After over 40 years of playing the ponies 2012 was easily the absolutely worst year ever! I mean I went from on fire late 2011 to 6 feet under from the time the baloon hit the pavement in Times Square.

Mind you there were times when I was close, but, anyone on an eighth grade date knows about getting "close".

So for me, 2013 cannot come soon enough, as I need some change and boy am I due!

How about you?

It has been a very bad year for me at the windows. Other than Wilkinson in the American back in May, I can't think of many highlights. The Breeders' Cup was an absolute disaster.

Had some good moments and bad, but more bad then good. Seemed way tougher this year to me too.

I've had a good year in terms of betting...but I'm on quite a roll in terms of life in general over the past week, the dentist went yard on me last week and getting into a car addicent yesterday... I'm out close to $10,000 just between the dental work and my car getting totaled with no collision insurance. Unless they find the other person at fault for the accident, which they won't. At least I had liability coverage or I'd really be having a nightmare week.

If it wasn't for the Derby and the BC, it would have been a very bad year! Those three days were really thrilling for me though.

Worst year ever for Gulfstream and Saratoga.

i don't suppose you had uninsured motorist property damage coverage? it would cover 'hit and run'.

I have what is basic auto insurance in PA. Everything insured except for collision repairs to my own car.

So, if I am found at fault for the accident...my insurance pays for damages to the other car and person (the person in the other car didn't even have a bruise and is fine) However, I'm SoL on my own car and I will have to pay the other persons deductable.

If I'm not found at fault (unlikely) the other persons insurance will take care of the value of my car.

yeah, i know how the coverages work. i just thought i'd ask in case you had that in the policy. the car is paid for tho, right? sell it for scrap/parts and buy another...and get collision, even if it's a high deductible to help defray the premium.
