I can believe it. The smaller the pools the better for those sorts of things.

When I lived in Portland, OR you'd see that sort of stuff in exotics all the time at Portland Meadows.

One race you'd have a 4-1 winner, a 6-1 place horse, and a 7-1 tri kicker and it would pay $135.00

Next race, you'd have a 5-2 winner, a 6-1 place horse, and a 7-1 tri kicker and it would pay $950.00

It was a crapshoot waiting for the prices to come up, but I took down three-quarters of a superfecta pool there once with one bet. It paid on X-X-X-ALL, and I had three of the four winning combos How sad is that? Almost taking down a whole pool without even getting it right?!
