Ramsey said he and Romans "had a lot of highs" together while conceding that mounting troubles in regard to their financial dealings ultimately led to their breakup.

thats from the drf article.

can someone explain to me what "financial dealings" other than buying horses and running them "led to their breakup".

maybe Im just stupid, but I dont get exactly what they are talking about.

anyway,
I obviously have tremendous admiration for the Ramseys(they gave us KJoy), but I dont get it.
if you are going to take horses away and keep them on the east coast or KY, at least send them to Dutrow.
you cant do any better than him.

and btw,
Im not telling the ramseys what to do with their horses.
i would never tell anyone what to do with their own property,
Im just curious as to the reasons behind the departure.

Repent I don't know this to be 100% true but several months ago the talk was that Ramsey owed Romans alot of money from training bills and from the races Romans had won for Ramsey.

Just think about it he had 47 horses for the guy his training bill everymonth had to be well above $75,000. The reason I use 75,000 it could be more is that I do not know what Romans Charges per day. that does not even count the trainers 10% for winning races.

It would be hard for anytrainer to carry any owner with that amount of horses in their care who did not pay there bills on time.

But like I said that is just an ideal of what could have happened.

I don't think this is the first time Ramsey has stiffed his trainer either...

Maybe Ramsey is going to hire that ex-nun that he tried to bribe at Turfway to train his horses.

Ramsey is a creep. Pure and simple.

Bethani,
I just wish we had Chucks tantrum and mine on tape, so that you could listen to them and juge whose was more severe. Both of us are pretty insistent that we have the other guy beat. I've known Chuck for a long time now, and know he can be hot tempered, but I still think that mine would have been very hard to beat. It was a two minute non stop rant with horrible language and wishes of horrible things happening, I was dizzy and had chest pains after mine was through and I hung up. Then I broke two pieces of furniture after I hung up.

makes absolutlely no sense to me why anyone will continue to take his horses or any other business from him...he has shown himself repeatedly to be dishonest and cheat people out of what they have rightfully earned.
a tiger never changes his stripes...
i think it might be a toss up between you and chuck...

i know a guy who has had horses with Romans in the past, his day rate is about $100, so your monthly figure might actually be on the low end... that's a lot of revenue for Romans to replace.

Yeah at that rates I'd say it was costing about 140k/month + vet + farrier + dentist + and special dietary products (Succeed, GastroGuard, etc...). Probably about 150k-160k per month with no serious medical issues. And that doesn't even count racing cost, such as nomination fees, entry fees, vanning, etc...Staggering!

He owes him very close to a million dollars. I feel bad for Dale, not only does he win the guy an owners title every meet, but he extends himself financially and gets taken advantage of. Its sad really

They could probably have worked it out with a good meeting with Biscuits n' Gravy.
