![]() There was a horse over here who lost one eye just after birth when the mare kicked him in the eye.
The eye had to be removed. He was given the name Monacle ![]() Also Princelet, who ran today at Ascot only has one eye.

One of the more familiar names in Singapore racing, he's a 5 year old gelding trained by Laurie Laxon. On the board in 12 of his 17 starts (winning 7, including the Singapore Guineas) Nice horse, nice record, but sadly he had a bad eye infection and had to have an eyeball removed. Anyway, he just won the Kranji Stakes over the weekend, beating a really nice field home. ![]() |
