Took my dad there for his birthday/father's day Sunday and had a great lunch. Open two weeks, they are off to a great start, and it will be as popular as ever come racing season.
My wife and I went a few weeks ago. Started with a quail with mushroom app, which was prefect. Tastey, not too large. The ricotta gnoochi with veal ragu was very good, the wife barely let me have a second taste. I had a whole grilled branzini, which was excellent. Only complaint was the foccacia they brought out was cold and very unappetizing, but my two year old ate it all up, so his opinion might vary to mine. Prices were reasonable, decent wine list, nice atmosphere and we enjoyed it. We will be going back.

Have never been a big Hattie's fan though.

Is this because you are not a fried chicken fan or know of better. If the latter please tell as my wife and I are in search of the best Fried chicken in the country. Hatties is the leader in the clubhouse.
