Default DT STABLES: Sumwonlovesyou! (2/12/07)

Derby Trailers should tune in to the Fasig-Tipton sales right now as Chuck is looking at a 3yo filly that will go through the ring in the next 90 minutes..

HIP #502, a filly by Came Home through stakes winner Mysterious Moll..

More to tell you about her in a few minutes, including a lot about the dam... In the meantime, watch for her in the ring!

Like I didn't have a hard enough time not looking at horses while I should be working!

THANK YOU for the heads-up!

Go get her Chuck!

Pedigree above...I wonder if the Dam was named after the main character in the novel Moll Flanders?

There is a remarkable coincidence/back story to Chuck noticing this filly and wanting to buy her.. Sumwonlovesyou's dam, Mysterious Moll, was owned and campaigned by my very good friends at Pont Street Stables and trained by Del Carroll. She was terrific.. I saw her win the Martha Washington at Laurel under Rick Wilson. She lost her first foal to MRLS and I believe aborted another.

The filly has a win in 5 starts and has been available for a tag lately at Turfway and was entered for $20,000 last week on one of the nights that was cancelled. She is worth that as a broodmare prospect, but vetted clean and appears sound as can be. (Just a little slow). Her dam was best on the grass, and Sumwonlovesyou needs a shot at it as well.

The best part of buying her is that as a potential broodmare with some value, she wouldn't be a fiasco if she were to get hurt (as opposed to a gelding).

2 hips away... We'll know more in 10 minutes!

You're going to get me fired!

As if sneaking wagers and peeks at races weren't enough. Now I am watching a freaking sale.

GL Chuck.

Guess I'm not the only one who does this at work. Lucky for me that the boss is out today. Good luck to the DT investors.

I work for a social service agency and every now and then I have to take care of a client. I get so annoyed. Can't they wait until after the sale?

Default Sumwonlovesyou//Full Bothers and sisters

If this horses sibs can make any black type, she goes up in pirce as a Brood mare too. Her lines, and any help from the family, you don't know what you can get at auction some day down the road.

I have seen 15K horses go for over 100k in Kentucky just because her big brother won a G2 and G3.

You also have a chance to spring one too.

She's got a very kind eye and nice shoulder in my opinion. In one of the other photos you can see a hint of dapples coming out...I can't wait until Chuck and his staff has had a little more time with her.

Without seeing the dam, she looks to have taken after the sire:
