Why do Forestry colts run on the turf? Is he a turf sire?

I wouldn't think so... Forestry is by Storm Cat. He also sired Discreet Cat (who obviously runs on dirt.)

That is what I thought but I am pretty sure I have seen a few of these forestry colts on the turf.

They seem to run to the lead and tire. I don't remember who they were though but I am positive I have watch these Forestry colts on the turf a few times this year.

Excuse my ignorance, but did Forest Danger run on the turf? I seem to remember him running a couple of turf races, although he ran primarily on dirt.

Forest Grove is another...

Forestry is a sneaky good turf sire just like pretty much every son of SC...remember up at Sar last summer, I did something really stupid with a Forestry named Secret Forest...loved her at 20-1 and used only her and Asti in the Pick 4...SF outgamed Asti (not saying much), I had no win money on her (paid $42+) and my Pick 4 ended up busting in the next leg. I was pissed...

Forestry is a great turf sire, I LOVE playing his horses on it. He is like More than Ready. More than Ready might be a better turf sire then dirt sire, and he never sat foot on a the turf. MTR would have been a monster in this newly formed turf sprints, MONSTER

Furthermore, the bottom side (mare side) means alot with these two regarding turf, at least from my experience.....Lemon Drop Kid is another one, AUTOMATIC FIRST PLAY for me is them on the turf, especially FIRST turf.....By far one of the best values at stud right now, ONLY 20k....
