I PREFER THE ENTIRE CARD ( Since It Is MY choice ) * I Dislike Eliminating races I’m guessing that Some Who shall remain nameless ~~~~ Prefer ending the day with the Haskell But, If that is what the MAJORITY wants ? * Let the voices be heard to decide A The entire card B R#3–12 C R3–14 Whatever the MAJORITY wants I will concede Which is not easy for A Gemini Alpha Mare to Do 😿 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= |

![]() Since we are offered a vote, I'll vote for B [Races 3-12]
My reason is twofold - I dislike the way that many tracks shamelessly monetize their big race days by adding an exhausting number of races onto their card. Monmouth wants to keep their fans running to the windows and then the ATM machines from noon until 6:49 PM. For our group, I think we do this for enjoyment, and with a 14 race card it can become a chore rather than an enjoyable event for players and scorers alike. Ruff, thank you for putting the question up for a vote, even if it keeps some of us from remaining nameless. Best of luck for a repeat at the Jersey Shore. |

![]() "B" for me. I'll gladly go with the herd. You are right Joly. I've played in the Haskell Challenge several times and it's just plain grueling to handicap 14 races; however, I couldn't find the Challenge this year. I guess they've either done away with it or I didn't know where to look.

https://www.haskellgame.com/index.php Good luck and lots of extra strength to any who compete. I might try it myself, although I never done very well in the past. With no cap in WPS payoffs, you have to hit all of the bombs of the day to have a chance. |

![]() Wow. I haven't been there in a few years, but I think admission to Oaklawn is free even on Arkansas Derby Day and if you get there early enough parking is only $2. However, some of the private residences across from the track may charge as much as $20 to park on their lawn. Reserve seating $4.50 on Saturdays and I think half that on weekdays.

![]() I realize some would prefer the entire card. But I, for one, am grateful for the mercy of a smaller card in regards to scoring. Thank you Ruffian.

![]() A poker buddy of mine from Philly won the Haskell Challenge. He was one of my partners in the old 3 man E-Pony league and at Pace Advantage. He is a very good handicapper. Nicely played Blackened Priest.

![]() A person could have done pretty good just playing Chad Brown horses. I think that has figured into Don's play. Either that or he did a Vulcan mind meld with the legendary lady from Colorado. Of course a person could have done well just playing the French riders, Pratt in particular, and Geroux is no slouch either. Still can't quite believe Cyberknife, but sometimes you have to look beyond the hype that some horses get. Jack Christopher a very nice horse, but you have to be a little skeptical until they actually do what they are being touted to do.

![]() Yes, I was happy to see my approach to Race 7 worked out. Rarely do I pick the right race to play but this year I've been pretty lucky. I missed out on Cyberknife too and even though he was a Brad Cox horse (one of my key deciders in evaluating) Chad Brown (another key decider for me) seemed right with a 109 speed figure and being undefeated . . . but ya never know in this sport. My play for Race 7 came down to Joel Rosario, one of the hottest jockeys on the planet right now, especially on the turf.
The more I studied the PPs, the less I liked any horse. Jockeys and trainers enter in to my race analysis but usually take on a very minor role depending on the conditions. Sure woulda liked it to be real money, it woulda put a much bigger smile on my face. ![]()
