Default May 21Pimlico Points Picks go here . . .

Alrighty then, let's "ease" on into a little "easier" day than the Derby by playing only 10 Races 4-13. A nice "easy" day. So please have your point picks posted by 12:16PM ET scheduled post time for Race 4 . . . and Ga'luk to all!!!

I can see east coasters Plenilune and RQ smiling all the way from Texas.

The way the Derby went, does that make Fenwick a "wise guy" play?

Whoever entered Fenwick had to be smoking wacky weed and they better share some of it with the horse. Either that or give him a bucket of Red Bull just before the race. Not so he can win it, but just so he can finish. Course I likely said the same thing about Mine that Bird.

Well, you never know. This is horse racing and the unexpected does happen, but his pps make him look way overmatched. Rich Strike also looked overmatched, but not as badly as this horse and Rich Strike did give the appearance of a horse that could finish 2nd or 3rd and as we all know, from watching the Derby over the years, longshots often hit the exacta and tri just not the win slot so often, but it has been several years since Mine that Bird so I guess it was about due. Fenwick is a son of Curlin as I think Rich Strike is so maybe there's hope for him. Looks like your kind of horse so pounce on him. Maybe you'll prove me wrong. I usually do that to myself on a regular basis.

It appears that more than a few Preakness bettors are hoping that lightning will strike twice in the same spot. In the very early wagering (around 6:30 PM on Friday) Fenwick was 9-1 and Happy Jack 7-1 . Only a small amount was in the win pool and I'm certain that these odds will have dramatic changes before post time on Saturday - still it does get your attention.

Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrow
Now I have to reconsider putting any money on him at all in ROI
With higher Odds… was worth it
But definitely NOT @ 9/1

When you say
“ the odds will dramatically change before Post Time “

Do you mean higher or lower?

Seriously considering changing my ROI

Ruff, I'm sure that the betting world will value Fenwick much closer to 50-1 than 9-1. Once bettors see Fenwick at single digit odds, their hope of catching a huge price on him will vanish. Early Voting was 8-1 in the same early wagering, compared to his 7-2 ML. Now compare the Black Eyed Susan - Preakness Double will pays and you will see Fenwick paying $1,214 and Early Voting $101. That probably is a more accurate reflection of the relative final price of the two.
By the way, Epicenter was $47 in the same double will pay, confirming to me that he will be the post time favorite without a doubt.

I'm ignoring the ML odds.
