![]() It's a little overcast but I don't think rain is expected. I would be very surprised if it isn't fast.

There is nothing more frustrating than spending a lot of time on a pik-6 and being absolutely sure that the ticket you have come up with is a winning ticket, yet having that ticket be overbudget and having to eliminate horses. A guy I used to play pik-6's with called it "doing surgery on the ticket" which I always found to be very true. You wanna slice some things out yet not kill the patient. Why does Chantal Sutherland have to be riding a horse I wanna single so badly? I will NEVER just play a horse because of a certain jockey riding it, yet I will hesitate to play a horse because someone so awful IS riding it. Everything about Miami Sunrise makes absolute sense in that race, EVERYTHING. Not even the trainer scares me away. The horse has had two strong grass races, a very strong dirt race three back(the last time he was on the dirt) where he dueled for the lead with a return winner of Levine's and finished ahead of another return winner in Unleaded Bridel in that race. He will be legged up off the the two grass races, he showed dirt ability earlier in his career and his main competitors are a horse who has one win in his life at age 7, and a sprinter stretching out for our very own Outofthebox. 8th is hard as well as every time I try to slice one of the three contenders out of the race, I envision a scenario where it could win as well. The two Dutrows are unlikely to battle each other which would seem to say there may not be enough pace for Tiger, yet hes got more raw talent than these do and one Dutrow may or may not be ready off the layoff and the other may or may not translate his delaware form(many Delaware big fig horses do NOT translate when coming to NYRA and crash and burn a lotta points figure wise). The NY-bred maiden claimers in the 4th and 9th are harder than chinese arithmetic, the logical single in the 5th may or may not be completely crippled(Red Crusader) and the last race looks like two prime contenders who both have knocks and look impossible to single either one. This is challenging, yet it looks hittable at a nice sized price if the right decisions are made. |

2 Mark the Trick (15-1): showed marked improvement in his 2nd start and comes out of a fast heat. Should get a good trip on the rail as the 1 is hopeless 10 Footman (5/2): not a fan at 5/2 but i do think he's a must use on the drop as he'll be coming late when the rest of these gaggers will be stopping 11 Sal the Pal (6-1): exits the same race as Mark the Trick and his figures are going in the right direction. career top last out |
