just read that his cast on his off hind may come off next week. best news i've heard in some time regarding his progress. to me this means they are feeling good about his recovery in his near hind, as they kept the cast on the other much longer than they planned so as not to strain either leg due to the laminitis.
his hoof continues to grow out, but unevenly. they said about 2/3's of the hoof is growing very well.
altho they didn't say so in the article, i'd imagine they'll apply the splint they had talked about in the past as an alternative to a cast.
