Default Ron Turcotte injured in car accident

"Ron Turcotte, the Hall of Fame rider best known as the jockey for 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat, is hospitalized with a fracture in both legs after a single-vehicle accident March 9.

Turcotte was injured when the van he was driving hit an icy patch on a road near his home in New Brunswick and flipped on its side. A family friend was a passenger in the vehicle and suffered minor injuries.

That's scary. Wish him the best recovery possible.

Met him at a picture and book signing a few years back at Delaware Park. They had an event that went along with the release of the Secretariat movie. Nice guy. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Maybe now Churchill Downs will dig down in their heart of hearts and give this guy a parking pass.
