Default our judicial system

Montana District Judge G. Todd Baugh sentenced a rapist to just 30 days in jail and said his 14-year-old victim was 'older than her chronological age.'

BILLINGS, Mont. — A Montana judge apologized but said he had no plans to resign after his remarks about a 14-year-old rape victim — and the 30-day jail sentence he handed the perpetrator — sparked outrage.

Rambold was charged in October 2008 with three counts of sexual intercourse without consent after authorities alleged he had an ongoing sexual relationship with Cherice Moralez, starting the previous year when she was 14. Moralez killed herself in 2010 at age 16 while the case was pending.

Yellowstone County officials agreed to defer Rambold's prosecution for three years and dismiss the charges if he completed a sexual offender treatment program. The case was revived in December after prosecutors learned Rambold, 54, was kicked out of the program for having unsupervised visits with minors who were family members and not telling counselors he was having a sexual relationship with a woman.

yeah, and the guy had a chance to get it all thrown out by completing that program, and the filthy wretch can't even do that.
so yeah, give him a month.

i had a long conversation with a girl yesterday. eye opening...

we feel good that no matter who you are, you'll get legal representation if you're ever charged with a crime.
yeah...
so the public defender-well, he doesn't get paid much, does he? i'd imagine the pay is probably the same whether you go to trial and he has to do more, or if you just plea it out.
so many just recommend the plea...cause hey, if you get found guilty, you're going to get a looong sentence. what, no witness? didn't pick you out of a line up? no one can say it was you, but the cop is sure you're the one.
yep, i recommend a plea.

oh...and then sentencing.
criminal a. black male, no priors, 20 years
criminal b anyone other than black male, no priors, probation.

true story.
