Barring any changes from here until race day, what do all of you think Bernardini will go off at in the JCGC? If I can get 3/2 on him, I might take a big plunge, but I'm thinking that's unlikely.. Any thoughts?

I think that he will go off at 3-5, best case scenario will be 4-5.

For what it's worth, I think most books have Bernardini at 9-5 and Invasor about 6-1 to win the BC Classic.

It's kind of hard to take 9-5 on any horse when a race is 6 weeks away and the horse still has to run one more time befoe then.

take 70 - 90% off what your wager on dini was gonna be and put it in an investment like a mutual fund

then, take the balance and play a pick 3 or 4 and single dini

I agree with most of your Bernardini guesses, but I'm gonna have to strongly disagree that Invasor will be 5/2 or 3/1.. Who else is showing up in this race who's nearly as good as these two? I would be shocked if they both weren't < 2/1.

I must have missed one or two of Invasor's races where he beat better horses than Sun King, Andromedas Hero and Wild Dessert.

Wasn't me, i watched the races. i think invasor would bust up super folic, Ace Blue, Jokermo, and WIlko common!

Bernardini is more like 2-1 in the BC futures. He's 2.2-1 at VIPsports/Gameday and he's 1.97-1 at Pinnacle. Invasor is 7-1 at VIPsports/Gameday and 6.26-1 at Pinnacle.

I think 4-5 is a good guess for Bernardini in the JCGC, but it depends a lot on who and how many show up.

if dylan shows up. what price do you think he'll be? O'Briens horses usually get some respect and you have the fact that there'll be a local jock on rather than Fallon..He may be heading to the BC Turf after this run. im not convinced that he is top class yet.. and breeding hardly shouts dirt!

I wasn't sure that California horse was showing up. If he does, I think Bernardini might meet my desired odds or at least get close.

Lava Man will be there barring any problems in his next race or with his training. Should be a hell of a race.
