Default Best spots in Vegas

I'm visiting Vegas for the first time in 20 years on Super Bowl weekend and would appreciate feedback on where to relax and spend Super Bowl eve in a sports book playing the ponies.
Also, as a relative newcomer, gotta tell everyone here that I LOVE reading your posts/insights. Great comments and really good handicapping IMO. Steve Byk is wonderful!
Thanks for your feedback and good luck everyone!

I'm sure it's not as glamourous as a lot of spots on the strip but I'm partial to the South Point Casino. I spent the 'Super Saver Derby' there and thought the race book was very nice. Plenty of tellers and viewing opportunities. A very comfortable enviroment in my opinion..................Good luck!

Caesar's, Mirage, Venetian seem best to me. These three spacious and comfortable. I hear Mandalay Bay nice also.

There is probably no place worse to bet horses on super bowl Sunday than any Vegas book. It is all about football.

That said, any day of the year, the Wynn Race book is far and away the nicest and is run by the best guy in the business.

Caesars gets a lot of hype but I never understood why. There is not a no smoking section so there is no escape and the place is old and hasn't been refreshed in ages.

Just don't go to treasure island. Though its the host of the NHC Finals, it has probably one of the smallest and worst sports book in Vegas.

I agree that the Wynn is among the nicest race books, but I've never won a "dime" there.

The hard part is finding your "lucky spot(s)" - I've always won the most money at the Luxor, Monte Carlo and Treasure Island...
My confidence level elevates as I walk into the place - Always return to the place where you have been successful...

That said, don't forget to shop for odds on your Super Bowl wagers --- the odds can vary quite a bit from casino to casino, but return to your "lucky spot" to watch the game...

We went to Las Vegas for Superbowl XLII (Giants vs. Pats) and had a blast - - It can get "pretty crazy" though

Enjoy !!!
