Default Most Talented 3yo since the 90's?

Are we all ready to hand over the award to Bernardini? Still living in the Smarty Party? Do you like your 3yo's to be Real Quiet? A late blooming Tiznow?

Who would you rate as the most talented 3 year old since 1990?

It is a tie for me. Victory Gallop or Concern. My two personal faves.

If I remember correctly, Candy Ride was still technically 3 years old when he smoked Medaglia d'Oro in the Pacific Classic. If so, he was easily the most talented 3-year-old I've seen in a long, long time.

Really tough to seperate Point Given, Holy Bull, and Bernandini. Those three were freaks in the spring/summer. Tiznow certainly closed the year with a bang.

I liked him too. He would be in my top 5 of the 90s.

More fun would be best 3 Year Old Season Ever:

Man O' War (undefeated and beat the Triple Crown winner in a match race)
Citation (15 in a row, sweeps the Triple Crown and wins at distances from 6 furlongs to 2 miles in the JCGC)
Secretariat (he lost the Wood and the Whitney remember)

I'd have to say since 1990, the top 3YOs would be Point Given, Unbridled and Silver Charm.

1. Lammtarra
2. Go for Wand
3. Smarty Jones
4. Giant's Causeway
5. Rock of Gibraltar
6. Bernardini
7. Holy Bull
8. Point Given
9. Thunder Gulch
10. Serena's Song

Note-I think that Arazi would have been on this list with proper handling because he had the talent but unfortunately, never got to show his best. To make the list, u have to have talent PLUS accomplishments. Lion Heart was also very nearly on this list. Had he not gotten hurt, he would have won the Travers and that, along with the Haskell win, would have been enough to make it.

I agree with that first part. Sunday Silence beat him in the Derby, Preakness, and BCC, so I'll take him any day of the week over Easy Goer...

IMO, Easy Goer had more talent than Sunday Silence. Whether he utilized it or not was another story...
