Default Malibu-Strub Trivia!

As part of writing up today's action at SA, I came across a fun question...

West Coasters or savvy racing history types: Twirling Candy goes for a Malibu-Strub double today. 7 others have done it...

Who is the last horse to win the front and back end of the series? Grand Prize for that answer and for the names of the other 6!

p.s. Wouldn't that be 8 or are you not counting someone (Ancient Title perhaps?) because it was a different division? I believe it was Precisionist who won both as a 4 year old.

*** Make that 9 because I forgot Hillsdale

You're right. It's 9. Not sure who got missed originally.. There have been 5 winners of the Series (Malibu-San Fernando-Strub): Round Table (1958), Hillsdale (1959), Ancient Title (1974), Spectacular Bid (1980) and Precisionist (1985). Four Malibu-Strub winners: Determine (1955), Diazo (1994), Mizzen Mast (2002) and Rock Hard Ten (2005).

The real question is this....
Is Rock Hard Ten the best on that list?
