Default Just Curious..

Something I haven't heard brought up yet. Why didn't the City of Tucson have at least one, if not two, police officers on duty at this public gathering? I've heard there were at least 100 people there if not 200. In N.Y. there would have been a police presence there. Maybe that would have made a difference. Maybe people should be looking at the obvious. If a vibrant public debate is a factor at all, and I don't think that it is, why wasn't there some cops hanging out? The infamous Sheriff was quoted as saying he could see this coming so why didn't he have some Deputies on the scene?
