Well unfortunately,I have to nominate the A's as my pick of the day(my heart says another thing, but I know better.) 3 REASONS:

1)Couldn't tell ya the last time the A's lost 2 days in a row.

2)Couldn't tell ya the last time they lost a series(which they would do if they lose this game.)

3)The last time I looked,Padilla is pitching against them tomorrow. That drunk has owned them.I don't think they want to face him with the possibility of a sweep.

Now, my heart speaks:

I Hope the A's lose horribly tonite. They are due to lose a series.Payton played MATADOR D yesterday(turned a single into AN INSIDE THE PARK H.R.------Without even a token throw to the plate.)He made 2 other weird botches out there too. Then he was booed when he came to the plate. After the game he questioned the intellect of the fans. The wheels could be starting to come off.The 3 outspoken brothas probably don't need much gasoline to get the fire started, and once it starts ,it could be a pretty good-sized meltdown.BTW,Matador D really is amazing to see happen live. You simply can't believe what you just saw.A guy will try to catch a ball that is on the fly but somewhere between the heigth of his knees, and an inch off the ground. The ball is usually a linedrive coming to him at an angle(hence they can't get their body in front of it,and if they miss it,they appear to be a Matador.)If they give ground(instead of charging it,)they can cut the ball off on one bounce(a single.)To see a major league ballplayer on the ground like that(as the ball rolls unattended to the wall)is quite a moment. One of the most stunning in all of baseball.I have seen both Bradley and Payton do it this year.It is stunning to see ,because they are excellent defenders.

My heart wins. The Halos have cut the lead down by 3 games in the last 4 days (from 8 1/2 to 5 1/2.) Great pitchers' duel.A struggle.Meanwhile, the A's cut a deficit to just 1 run(on a 3 run shot by the big Hurt.)Unlike all of August, they did not keep scoring to win that ball game. That is news folks.Haven't seen that the whole 2nd half.Halos have a pulse, but the Orioles aren't gunna like getting swept tomorrow.Santana will have to stop hanging pitches.Has great pitches, but can't get away with his mistakes this time of year.If only that drunk (Padilla) will come out and shut down the A's one more time.
