I think the Lassie is an absoutely FANTASTIC betting race this year.

Agreed! And better yet, I am making my first trip at AP this weekend! Making excursion as DRF FormBlog convention participant. If any DTers are there Sat or Sun, please message me as I would like to say "hello".

The other intiguing race appears to be 12 furlong affair that is bookended by Futurity & Lassie.

I expect Wheemaway to run well today, should be 15-25/1.

I missed the exacta when the Catalano got past Third Chance in the final strides.

I thought Third Chance ran an extremely good race, however, when you look at the fact that every other horse anywhere near that :45 opening half mile finished well behind her, while the top two finishers sat comfortably off that. The winner looked good in the lane and is obviously beginning to put together a nice 2yo campaign, but I think Third Chance might be the horse you'd want coming out of this one. It was a pretty impressive race by her, particularly given the 3f stretch-out.
