Race for jockey title

Looks like its a 2 horse race between Prado and Gomez. Prado has Gomez by 2wins but consider Gomez has ridden 21 less races. Castellano has the money title wrapped up but its not fair because of Bernardini.

There is no love lost between Frieze and Anderson and in the end Frieze will prevail, as he usually does. Prado is better anyway, but this race up here is about agents as much as it is about riders.
I know Angel and I know Johnny as well and I can tell you that Johhny V will never again win a title up here based on most wins. The reason? he doesn't want to, and Johhny would tell you that. Their purpose in riding is to make money(angel and Johnny). hes already won titles here and smashed the record for most wins at a meet up here.
He was already in that frame of mind last year, but after his spill this year he's even moreso in that frame of mind. You will note that Johnny doesn't take many mounts in claiming races or cheaper races. Its because he and Angel are of the opinion that there isn't any point. In addition, its very tough for Angel to ever get quality "catch" rides anymore. Noone wants to ride him because they feel like even if hes open in that particulat race, that the next time he will spin them for Todd, and its true, he will. He has to.
They have a business arrangement in which todd benefits by knowing he will get Johnny in a race, and Angel and Johnny benefit by knowing that each year they have basically a guranteed huge income and don't have to risk Johnny's neck in cheaper races.
Titles are really only important to guys who have never won one to try and get publicity to get more mounts. Once you have already won a few, you just care about money.
The last week Frieze will put Edgar on every live mount he can find and he will win it. Frieze is quite an agent, and while Anderson gets more respect in the industry, Frieze is every bit as good.
