I'm not sure what else Bush could have done, except not invade Iraq. Everything domestically was the right action I think.

And a lot of it was probably needed to keep our interests and our country safe and has been for a long time. There is a lot of unpleasantness that occurs in the world, maybe if some people in this country climbed out of their ivory towers they may understand that. Instead we have politicians investigating the CIA for political gain. CIA agents that not only put thier lives on the line but were simply following rules as they knew them. When Valerie Plame was outed, the left howled at the moon. Now THEY are not only wanting to expose CIA agents, they want to put them in jail for doing their jobs. On this day of all days I think about that. The terrorists won.

i totally agree some measures have to be taken to protect our country without the citizens knowledge of them as to not compromise our saftey.

the US will have the final say in any outcome of any conflict no matter who is president.

for people to believe obama would not protect this country any less then bush is just ridiculous.

when you got the weapons and military and nukes to wipe out a country at will if we were attacked is at our disposal (n korea, iran)

its a very fine line you tread if you do this, because of the response from other major countries like russia.

but we can take care of buisness pretty darn quick if we have to.

by reducing troops from iraq to increasing troops to afghanistan is showing that obama is not letting this go and to hunt them down.

if you really wanted to get the job done as bush proposed, why pick iraq only, when lebanon, syria yemen etc. harbor and have training camps that we do know have terrorists. why didn't bush go all out if he really wants to make us safe. why just iraq?

that is a question the doesn't make sense that to go into iraq will make us all cozy and safe but fail to deal with the rest of these middle eastern coutries who like syria where they were and still are far more of a threat then iraq was even close to being. and focus on afghanistan.

if you are the CIA and just taking orders from above, there shouldn't be a witch hunt to put you in jail for just following orders and doing your job. i just may have a problem with who gave those orders then and what they were based on in a case by case basis
