Default Mine That Bird's Travers Status

hmmm Is Chip just being a little overly cautious, taking the right steps etc IOW, just wants to be 200% sure MTB is ready to run, maybe an overprotective Daddy?

or is he looking to bow out and trying to save face?

I'm sure Mine That Bird will be a force in the Goodwood after his impressive last place finish over the track for Dick Mandella in the BC Juvie last year.

I'm just getting this feeling MTB's camp is just not comfortable with racing him this weekend even if he check's out 100%. It's just a gut feeling that I hope I'm wrong about.

They're saving him for his special appearance in New Mexico where he will have the great honor of leading a post parade of quarter horses. He needs his energy for that.

Owner Allen has already stated this a couple of times on TVG and now the trainer seems to be backpeddling. I'll be surprised if he runs.

As for the post above regarding his BC Juv performance, the owners and trainer have all stated that it was a mistake to rush him into that race 5 days after he was purchased and shipped from Canada. His BC effort is meaningless with respect to any future races over the Santa Anita track.

Yup that's the vibe I'm getting, the owner I think is going to pull him. I think Chip wants to run, Dr. says everything going perfect, the owner well,I think, hope I'm wrong, but the whole morning scope will be all for show, and the owner will pull the off switch.

Some video footage of MTB, Rachel & Quality Road. NYRA's website is getting better and better with all of the new added content.

I normally like when I'm right, but not in this case. Yeah the statements yesterday by Chip were not statements of a trainer ready to run,

Too bad, I think MTB would've taken this one.
