![]() How about replacing one of the Belmont turf courses with a synthetic track and just using it when it rains. Probably pay for itself in one season just in making up the lost handle

![]() How'd you like to be a turf trainer with a horse that just can't win on dirt and a limited season to make your money? And NYRA taking all these races off the turf. I'm not saying there isn't due cause in most of these cases but NYRA and other tracks really need to come up with a better way of doing this. Carding an off the turf race for all turf races is one option; but this doesn't put money in the turf trainer's pocket. Going to an AS and doing away with all this UGLY off dirt racing is another. Could you imagine turf like racing all year in NY? I mean, after the BS that is the inner track? Of course, the dirt lobby in NY is stronger than just about anywhere in the country so it's not going to happen.
