No doubt. Borel had a ton of horse too. Just a very pre-mature move.

Dunkirk ran a very game 2nd setting decent early fraction.

Woolley is all class with that post race interview... I'm glad their horse is a gelding, he's good for the game.

Borel was saying they were going slow up front, is that half and three quarters slow for 12 furlongs.

my video feed @#$^#^ed up , but did John Velazquez sneak up the RAIL 1st turn with Dunkirk??
Nice move from a jock who hasn't scrapped the paint in 3 or 4 years.

No sneaking involved. He broke very well and went straight to the lead. Very very game race by Dunkirk.

Dunkirk ran a very nice race. 47 was just too fast.

Good race for Kent. He took a lot of **** last year that was mostly undeserved.

He pulled up a horse that wanted to finish the race. I'd say it was deserved. However slow Big Brown was going, I don't see why he had to just completely stop him in the middle of the race. I'm not saying he should have whipped him or anything, but it's a disservice to gamblers to see a perfectly healthy horse being stopped by the jockey like that.

Yes, I agree. I figured the half would go in about :48 or so and I figured Dunkirk would be 3-4 lengths back. That horse does not want to be on the lead in :47 in a 1 1/2 mile race. I think he would have been right there if they would have taken him back.

That Belmont/Sonya comparison by Kent after the race was about as stupid as anything I've heard not out of Goldberg's mouth.

She does have great jugs though.

He got away with a 25 second third quarter on the backstretch though. I thought Velazquez gave Dunkirk the best chance he had at winning today. You have to take into account how quick the track was playing as well before judging the pace numbers.
