Default Note to Garret Gomez

RIDE YOUR F*CKING HORSES OUT.....A$$HOLE.

Dont quit when you get passed....there is still 2nd, 3rd to worry about.

Common "short person".

What horse are you complaining about, Eden's Causway? She was going to run 4th no matter what. He stopped riding her about 2 feet before the wire after he was passed for 3rd. He didn't cost her anything.

Richi, you know me and I don't complain about much at all. But from my point of view, I am of the opinion that he DID NOT work near as hard for 2nd as Cornelio or Rafael. Not even close. I have taken enough beats that I haven't gotten upset....but when I don't see a jock giving an effort...I get pissed.

You want effort? Watch Bravo in the HASKELL. BGC ran a mile past him, but he was gonna be d*mn sure NOONE else got 2nd. That is effort.

I think you need to watch the replay. GG kept whipping and driving all the way until about 2 feet before the wire. I watched the replay. GG always rides hard. He would be the last guy I would criticize when it comes to that. HE's always rding hard to get 2nd or 3rd when he can't win.

With regards to Bravo in the haskell, I would sure as hell hope he's riding hard for 2nd. Do you know what 2nd pays in the Haskell? It pays $200,000. His cut is $20,000. He'll make more money running 2nd in the Haskell than he'll make for winning any other race the entire year. I'm not surprised he was trying hard to get 2nd.

You are clearly a better race watcher than myself and have been doing it much longer than I. I don't have access to a replay, but if you say he didn't quit, so be it. Just looked to me while watching that he was clearly not giving as much as the other two.

Kev-
Did you need Edens for 2nd? Or are you talking about Artie Schiller?

How about Kent D yesterday not caring a hoot to ride to try and get in the triple in that last race. That was plain awful.

I'm talking about Eden. I stand by what I thought I saw, but I have to give respect where it is due, most in here are tons better handicappers and race watchers than I am.

Oh well....COry just helped me out in the 4th at DelMar

Nice. Hope you cashed a nice one.

I just watched that last race at Toga over and in my opinion Gomez just wasnt on the 2nd or 3rd bet horse Kev. Dueling in deep stretch with the winner, who had tons, took everything out of Edens.

I know what your saying about guys not riding horses out for 2nd and 3rd. Happens every day. Mike Smith use to be the king of that.

They went the half in :46 4/5. GG had her about 4 lengths behind. That means that she was going :47 3/5. The last time she ran, Prado rode her. They went :46 2/5 and Prado only had her 1 1/2 lengths behind. I guess that means that Prado had even less sense of pace than Gomez.

Gomez has as good of a clock in his head as any rider in the country. That is one of the reasons that he has made more in purses than any jockey in the country this year. You may want to check the jockey standings at drf.com and see who the leading rider in the country is. That's amazing how he does that even though he has no clock in his head. LOL.

No matter how good your eye is, you won't see nearly as much from watching the race once as you will if you watch the replay a few times.

True....I really do need to spend the money for racereplays.com. I'm trying to learn....not dumb enough to think I know everything.
