Default Saratoga trainers

I'm wondering what happened to Jim Jerkens and Frank Labocetta.
If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the info.

Here is all I could find:

Labocetta seems to have a heroin problem. Very sad.

MOREAU, Aug. 7
By MARK MULHOLLAND Saratoga-North Country News Chief

A horse trainer in town for the Saratoga racing meet is accused of driving while under the influence of heroin and causing a head-on crash.

State police say 35-year-old Frank LaBoccetta drove over the center yellow line, crashing head-on into a minivan driven by a Moreau man.

It happened over the weekend on Route 9 in Wilton.

LaBoccetta and the driver of the minivan were both flown to Albany Medical Center. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

LaBoccetta has entered four horses at Saratoga this season. One finished in the money.

Thats too bad. Drugs claim another. Hope both Labocetta and the poor person he hit will pull through.

Heroin? You dont hear that too often up here.

I'm glad he was caught before he killed someone. Now hopefully he can get the help he needs. Heroin is supposedly one of the toughest drugs to kick though.

Although back to back yesterday, 2 big chalks off the board. I'm sure he'll come around soon enough. He's far too good a trainer to stay like this.
How about a detention barn for Trainers?

Wow!
Thanks for the info.
I'm very saddened, to say the least.
And I hope he finds the help he needs.

A friend of mine called me two years ago from Long Island. He told me he needed to get away for a while and that his marriage was falling apart.
Did I have a room for him to stay?
Well, of course I did.
Came to find out he was "kicking".
End of story, he's been clean since (as I won't allow any garbage in my house), and he's now back with his lovely wife and two kids.
It's a difficult thing to put down.
I wish Frank L the best.
