Default Tampa Thursday P4

The scratch of Comacher in the first leg negates the solid single although the other half of the entry is capable...

Race 7)
1 Comitatus - should have the front to himself 2nd
4 Rush for Dinner - best of the ones to come and get him 3rd
8 He's One for One - steady series of morning drills, should be sharp off the layoff WON
$2 ex 8-1; 30.40; $2 tri 8-1-4; 99.40

Race 8)
3 Rahoo - must be glad to see Unbridled Behavior not in here - best of the bunch 2nd
4 Mr. Easy E - toss the 1 turn effort at the condition last out; loves the distance and fits - must include 3rd
7 Last Samurai - Fontana hasn't had him long enough to screw him up 4th

Babo @ 13-1 with a stellar record @ Tampa.... Doh!

Race 9)
9 Private Ruthie - Homemister bails on the Zaidie mount in favor of the Lynn Scace offering; back to mile where she was just nipped by next out winner Celine
3 Porticipation - FCC/Slomkowski runner has been freshened since being place over his head on the soft going last. Slomkowski 32% off the layoff.

And Zaidie wins again

Race 10)
9 Salish - no excuses; Centeno back aboard after the conditioned win at 10 last; no one else comes close WON

1,4,8//3,4,7//3,9//9

18.00 good luck all

Jumping in to the Tampa pick 4 pool for real.
$1
1,4/3,4,6/3,4,6,9/3,9 $48

Dead! run 2nd & 3rd in the 1st leg. Playing the rest of the ticket in a pick 3.
3,4,6/3,4,6,9/3,9 $24

$10 win on the 6 race 7 (bit of a saver, I think a playable longshot)

Guess he just needed some pace to close into, but I wouldn't have played Babo with Monopoly money.

Joey- the horse has been monaaay at Tampa... BSF's didn't fit, but the horse for course angle had me close to including.

I was dead set against Cardoso/Zaidie in the 9th with Homeister off. They're something like 48% for the meet together- when she bailed, I thought there was a bigger picture going on -either something amiss with the horse, or perhaps a falling out... I figured if there was a tiff, there are clearly are more capable hands in the jocks room than Cardoso. Which led me to feel as though the horse was off.

Overthinking instead of using a horse returning to his preferable surface/distance would have been my undoing.
