Default 1/15: Santa Anita (NOW $461k FRIDAY)

Struggled mightily Wednesday at both NY and Florida as P4's proved challenging from several standpoints. At Aqueduct, I lost early as ticket structure doomed the play, despite winners that were not that hard to identify (P4 returned $200). Gulfstream was a different story as the deep fields produced sizeable payouts on plausible but elusive types for a $778 return. Hope you did OK as I wasn't much help...

$103,000 P6 pot to start today at Arcadia..

Something isn't right about that Coleville. Smith rides in the race before, but isn't back on Coleville in the last race. Smith is damn near the adopted son of the Moss twosome. A Red light couldn't be more bright.

Your right, but the colt could have one more good race in him. They are dropping to cash out prior to sending him to the bench for while (my theory only). As capital is harder to come by, I expect to see more and more quality horses in claiming races as the risk of losing them is lowered. Get the cash is the name of the game.

O.K., but why don't they want to give their favorite boy the 1k for riding? That dude must not want to take the chance of getting hurt that must be coming with this one.

If you look, his stride is like short n' choppy in that 1st race he had. He made a decent move, but the stride ain't looking that good(to me.) Why does Moss have a horse with Sherman to begin with? It's like the back legs have a big stride, and the front legs have a choppy lil stride. Ran good enough to beat maiden claimers, but (I ask again) why doesn't Smith want the thousand bucks that would come his way for winning tonite on him?

don't count out North Rodeo at 8-1 in the 4th. Highest speed number on the downhill course that came in a 150k stakes two races back... with horse now dropping into $48k allow. Wish wasn't in the 1 hole, but I think has a real shot to win.

North Rodeo will go off second choice...just a stupid ML.

Another one to watch for is Ms. Olympio at a big price. Watch the reply..Raffy ran her up the rear of someone, then when she got clear he didnt move.

Win or not, she's despicable. Comes 2nd to Lethal Heat, and then loses at even money. Runs right with Christiana's Heat(grade 3 stakes placed down the hill) in a Calbred stakes down the hill, and then bombs at 4-5 odds. I see she has refused at 1-5 earlier in her career. Only time she won was at 7-1 odds. O.K., use her, but then arrest her, please!!

Default I think there are good values in later races....

early races are predictable small field chalky.. go narrow times X

now.. I did not see Han Moon coming although when you see a small trainer like that who decides to own a lightly race horse...

but seeing Bejarano allowed to go off at 11-1..

or Rosario get away for at 7-1 when if you look at the PP's the horse ran an 80+ as a FTS

while the Han Moon's happen.. I think the top riders get live horses and I think on the poly better riders have better timing of when to hit the button..whatever the PP's tell the general public

didn't mean to get off on a rant, I could be wrong,

Scav, I played the Rock You horse. My dad had me put $40 on the Mission Viejo filly. At 1st, I didn't want to make the bet, but just kept quiet. Made it for him. Then as the race was about to go off I finally looked at her, and she had a couple turf sprint wins. Obviously, she looked too slow, but if they've never been down the hill, then you never know. So, I thought she actually had a lil upset shot. Believe me, I was begging for that girl to get up past my horse. It was pretty cool. I mean, at his age, the fkn high point of his day is watching Jeopardy.

I can't disagree. I'd like to, but I just can't.
