Default Wicked style back at CD on wed.

Isn't this the horse the won the 2yr old stakes at Keen last fall? IF it is, i remember being very impressed with the way he ran that day as he ran against the bias of the closers friendly surface that was in play during the meet.

Dominican is in that race, too. Might be interesting.

Pretty nice race for a random Wednesday... but I'm interested in the race before that. The outside horse has some pretty good connections

Unless Churchill secretly switched to poly Dominican won't make any race there more exciting. . .

Im expecting a big race from Dom. I think the price will be square as well with Wicked, Bullara, and Winyah.

Im just very hesitant to make any sizeable wager on a turf race at CD on a weekday, with the rail out in the 4 path.

He was not against any bias.

He went wire-to-wire, Slew's Tiznow was 2nd every yard of the way. Whoever finished 3rd was 3rd every step of the way. Adriano closed for 4th and was the only horse to do any passing.

The final time and fractions were almost identical to that of a Mott maiden on the undercard.

I think WS isn't much.

I agree, in general. The "Mott maiden' was Court Vision, who 'wiped' them out (on POLY) and then came back to run that ridiculous race next time out in the Iriquois at CD at 8:80 to 1.

Yeah - I remember BTW asking me for the name of the Mott maiden on the Playing To Win show - and I didn't remember it.

Even though he won back at a price - I can sleep easier at night knowing I never gave out the miserable Court Vision.

Funny how IEAH is claiming that they knew all along that Big Brown was going to win the Derby, yet still paid $5 Million for half of Court Vision......that's forgetting that they entered Big Brown in a turf race for his 3YO debut. Of course they claimed he was always pointing for the Blue Grass.....which apparently they didn't nominate him for.

It all makes perfect sense to me.

What's interesting is that even though he 'wiped out' the field, he actually ran 53 feet LESS than the runner up, King's Silver Son. As such, it might've been a bit harder to take him next time out (8:1 or otherwise). Moreover, King's Silver Son ran 2nd yet again in a MSW earlier on the Iroquois card, going 8.5F--a race run in ridiculously pedestrian fractions, yet, won by a last mover.

Go figure.

I just love TRAKUS.

CV rode the inside in that race - but at Keeneland - that's not any edge.

Speed started to do a lot better it seemed when the jocks started to avoid the rail - the pacesetter often in the 4 path.

This is general stuff.

What's been omitted to this point is the fact that Wicked Style got the lead all alone when Gold Train, who was to his inside and contesting the pace with him, was pulled up entering the backstretch.

Just realized it's a turf race - that's better for him then, I guess. . .

Well that sucks, for awhile they thought he was going to come to Arlington this weekend for the American Classic. Perhaps they chose a different route.

Still sucks, wanted to see him again.

The reason i thought there was a bias was b/c i thought the track was playing mainly to closers last fall and this horse jumped from an outside post and led i thought all the way around. Sorry if i was mistaken.

I would have liked to see him again too. I picked him for the Washington Futurity because he was acting up in the paddock, and he's been one of my favorites ever since.

A.P. Excellent is the horse I would play against here. I think Sherrifs got everything out of this horse. He stumbled along in a weak race for 2nd last time and should be overbet.
odds are up

fast4
Bullara
A.P. Excellent
Wicked Style
Faith's Magic

Good spot for Domincan here (can't believe this is 1st turf try), Winyah is the race-shape longshot.
