That's good, we need the energy here at FL. Maybe his calls can wake up the people in the casino and have them come out and watch a race. They usually only come out for a smoke....

Love the guy.. Used to watch GG/BM races just to hear his calls. Finger Lakes ain't no place for his frantic style though.. The dankest of dumps. Dude should be calling 24-horse races in Australia.

Is this confirmed?? didnt see a press release. if so congrats to Tony!!!! And there they goooooo!!!

my favorite Caloism is "you better take a look at so and so" when he's picking up a horse rolling home.

Behind Durkin, hes my favorite. You either love him or can't stand him. He calls a 5k claimer like its the Kentucky Derby. His enthusiasm is outstanding and really brings to life the race.

I thought he was a member here or past by on occasion but can't remember the screen name. Isn't he the announcer that called Baze's breaking of the jock win record??

The man has a few holes in his dance card if BM is forced to close by the CHRB for 2009 which makes as much sense as "Ladies Day" at the BC........

Oh yeah they did do that didn't they.....maybe BM will close after all.

I think you are referring to Wrona who calls at BM and GGF now. He replaced Calo a couple years. I am sure I am forgetting someone but I rank them right up there with the great callers in the sport (Durkin, Stauffer, Denman, Collmus and Battaglia (jk...but he is gaining ground)).
