Default Jan 29, anyone else....

going to do anything different this year? I for one am still heartbroken by the death of Barbaro and wear my blue "riding with Barbaro" everywhere people make fun of me for it but like dr. richardson said you either get it or you dont. I live in L'ville so I plan on going out to Churchill and getting a shot of whiskey at the bar and a beer walking out to the finish line and drink the whiskey and pour the beer out on the finish line. Whiskey for my men beer for my horses. You can get out to the track if you walk thru the paddock you can walk out right where the horses come out. I just hope i stop the whiskey at one.

It's especially dangerous to mix alcohol and prescription drugs.

Isn't it obvious that this person has stopped taking their prescription drugs?

Coming from a self purported Dead Head fan that's been to how many live concerts?, I'm sure you wouldn't know anything about dangerous combinations of drugs.......would you?

You saw the Dead straight? What was that like? A little hard to believe after logging about five Dead concerts myself. Kind of like paying a prostitute to just talk.....

I saw the Dead in '71 in Cortland , NY, when Jerry still had dark hair. Jerry played pedal steel with the New Riders. Then played lead with the Dead. Pigpen was on keyboards. Do not despair wac. All things must pass.

Its hardly a good analogy. I have no problem with the many people that don't like the Dead, but I like their music a great deal, and suggesting you pay to see them in order to do drugs ( as theoretically the only reason one pays a prostitute is for some sort of sexual satisfaction ) is ridiculous. I'm also not saying that I don't understand the correlation between psychadelics and the Dead's music. However, they aren't a necessity. Plus, you aren't going to a Dead show because it's the only place you can do drugs.

I take analogies very seriously.

How about milk and cookies? Is that a better analogy? You don't have to have them together but they just seem to go together. And you're right about paying to see the Dead as one of the more famous Dead sports is sneaking in, or if you're were the Hells Angles, you just walked in.

I was thinking about your thread.

Any day is a good day to give... this is just a thought.

Maybe it would be nice to celebrate his life on the 29th and do something, no matter how small.....

For anyone interested.....

She wasn't exactly discriminating about who she took money from.

I guess the horse racing analogy works then.

Okay I really don't know who the "who" is here.....

Does what she did with the money justify who she "took" it from?

If so, is it such a bad thing?

If you do that, beware of Churchill's new outsourced security guards. I don't know if they will understand.
