Just checked DRF and saw she was claimed out of the race. Hope that was in the cards.

Isn't this actually about 50K in profit if they paid 12.5K for the horse and the race winners share today was a little over 14K. I would say the game was played to perfection here.....

As in the immortal words of Father Guido......

."Business.......by something for a little sell it for alot....".....

What about the 50-60 thousand the owners had into the hrose for breaking and day rate? If the owners break even they are lucky, or well managed. Good move by Chuck running her where she belongs, but I wouldnt say profitable for the owners.

They paid 50k for her in 05. They probably have 20k in bills a year to 07. So they are into the filly for 90. She ran for 50, won and got 60 percent of the purse, you do the math.

This should bring into perspective what a great job Chuck and Steve have done with Sumone.

Thanks guys

In this business you measure success by how little you lose instead of how much you win.

She tries really hard but has her issues and I'd rather have the 62k than the horse right about now.

Man Cody Autry loves to swipe em for 50K. He must have a whole lot of $$$ behind him.

I told him in the paddock not to get too close to the other horses. I think he had no idea what I said and smiled and said ok
