didnt bet a red cent ..its just that there seems to be a little something special about this one..unraced at 2 ..three lifetime starts ..1.51.2 ..1.50.1(hawthorne track record , ungodly easy) then last night on a teriible sloppy surface1.50.2 last quarter 26.3 in hand ..the harness gig is a lesser sport ill grant all that, but this animal is a rare breed indeed

Lad,

My first serious pro writing gig was for the Oneida Daily Dispatch (Oneida, NY).. Part of my Sports coverage included Vernon Downs.. I had the real privledge of getting to see Niatross, who was foaled and wintered in Vernon, up close. I'll tell you flat out that had he been a thoroughbred he'd have been a Citation. Had as regal a presence about him as any horse you'll ever meet. Was simply a SPECTACULAR racehorse..

Didn't niatross jump the pylons and flip into the infield in one of his races???? Did not like the whip that one. Horse was something else though.

I really don't follow standard breds, but I'd just be curious to know if anyone remembers one named Tin Foil?
I only ask this because there are a couple of his at the farm where mine live.
One is "Mr President" and the other is "Fig".
Seems to me that they are built a lot differently than thoroughbreds. Huge!
