Default Betting diary.

What does your betting diary consist of?
How do you track your bets ?

date, track, race number(for irs because i don't care about this), race condition(including turf or dirt and now poly), type of bet, result.

mine is fairly sparse for the last 4 years. once i started tracking my wagers in 1999, the fact that i lost became too obvious to ignore. i've had 1 winning year in 7 through 2006. this year doesn't look like a breakout either.

anyone who isn't keeping track of every bet they make has no idea if they are winning or losing. your mind exagerrates the wins and minimizes the losses. keeping track of your wagers is like lighting a candle in the dark. i highly recommend tracking every wager you make. i guarentee you are not doing as well as you think if you aren't.

i lose betting horses. i win playing poker. i can prove both statements. i won't make a living doing either so i keep showing up every morning m-f.

Dont Want To Track The Losers. I Could Fill A River. Im Waiting For My Ship To Come In But Its Stuck In A Sand Bar. Its Only Money, Why Keep Track, Just Remember What It Was Like To Win One.

i find your insistence on capitalizing every word an odd affectation.

I used to go meet by meet as a bit picture. Start out with a certain amount, and then see where I end up. I kept track as I went along so I could alter, adapt, improvise, etc. It didn't really matter much because without the "fear" of going to zero you can play more aggressively -- it changes the dynamic . . . but then again, I have too much respect for money, LOL.

I am probably a better "gambler" than I am handicapper. Thankfully my partner is the opposite. A merger of compliments to say the least, LOL.

For IRS purposes, I save my tickets and staple them to the program, race by race. IRS will accept this, but not tickets randomly collected.

They will accept randomly collected, but it is an argument. Your way is argument free, my way (tickets with a rubberband) there is an argument that I always win

Im a little confused on this thread..... What is a Losing Ticket ?
