![]() with the impending retirement of Grant Hill, what do you all think he fits in as being one of the best players in the NBA? He defintely made his money, even as a cripple you could see that he could take anyone. Injuries defintely prevented him from being the next best thing as he was going to be before ankle problems came in to play. He still remains one of my favorite players, and hope he is recognized as one of the best to play the game.

He is a nice guy from a class family who could play with the best...injuries crippled him, lesser guys would have retired but he kept struggling and finally got back...but obviously not at the same level. I loved his game and his attitude, he was a great talent but will probably be shortchanged by history!

![]() I was Grants athletic trainer for USA Basketball in the 1991 World Basketball Championships in England.
I can tell you, he was the BEST on a group of super stars..all who were drafted to the NBA. He was class every day...practice, games, press conferences! Too bad we'll never get to see how great a player he could have been! ![]()

![]() Grant Hill is one of the two most talented players I've ever been around and I've been around a lot of them. I think he's still going to be a hall of famer but I'm not so sure he ever would have been one of those that would have gone on to do more than what he was doing for Detroit. He's a great, great player. But he doesn't have that personality to be the most unstoppable. He's kind of like Lebron James and Dwyane Wade in that way. They all have the ability to do anything on the court but are so unselfish that it sometimes hurts them. If they had the kind of killer instinct that MJ, Larry, Magic, and even Kobe has, they would be unbelievable.
Having said all that, he is an even better person. Usually, people tend to kind of go against the supposed "silver spoon" guys. He had it all from the start. But he worked hard to make it even better. He was one that u can't help but pull for.
