Default Gomez to ride Brother Derek

The article is in bloodhorse and the link is below. But the article states that Derek finished 5th, but I thought he finished in a dead heat for 4th with Jazil.

Anyway, it looks to be a great field for the Malibu. Personally, I like Arson Squad. Should be a good better race as well.

I know Solis rides for Headley but I truly think Derek is gonna have a nice year. I think Solis screwed up on this one.

I dont know what to think. This seems to be a situation where a jock cannot lose. I think that Derek and Arson squad are going to have nice years. Arson is a gelding so I guess Solis doesnt want to lose this mount to anyone else. However, Derek is going to be racing in the top races for older horses all over the nation in 07. I think Derek goes to the Breeders Cup while Arson Squad doesnt.

Jazil did not run in the BC Classic.

I agree with oracle about Brother Derek in 2007.
