Calder Sunday
Morning routine disrupted by washing machine explosion. The end was not a surprise, it was on life support for a year. Did battle with the unruly barbarian horde at Best Buy after mopping up the laundry room and kitchen. Must admit, the floors look much cleaner.
I do like one horse today at Calder. Race 9, #4, Lettie's Relic. Stepping up from MCL 12.5k win in his debut to N!X Allowance and ML is 10-1. I follow Dwoskin's stable very closely and it's rare for him to move a cheap maiden winner into an Allowance. It's also relatively rare when one of his wins first out. The day he won, Nov 13, he broke slow and came from last to win easily, getting the last 1/8 in good time. That day, there were 7 dirt sprints and there were three winners who came from off the pace, so he didn't beat any huge bias but I really like the way he finished. He's got a work since his race and if Dwoskin didn't like the horse, he'd probably have run him back for 16k or 20k. In the same race, #7, Jabbok, is going to run well. In his last two races he's finished behind only For Gill and Guapeton and both of those are very nice horses. Lettie's Relic to win and an Exacta Box with Jabbok.
Off to the the Dolphins-Jaguars game where I LOVE Miami today. Jags horrid on road and Fish playing well. Line was Jax -1. I bought the 1/2 point and have Miami +1.5 (-115).
good luck.
