Bettors riot at Longchamps -- French Army called in to battle them

A couple people died and a lot more were seriously hurt. This is probably the most out of control betting riot at a major racetrack since 1900.

Fire houses were cut. The police were beat by the crowd ... the Republican guard was called in and didn't fare well.
