They get around this time of year down South. It's mating season and they move around quite aggressively during May and June.
Driving home this past Thursday, I had to swerve around a 7-footer in the middle of Hwy 76 just down the road a bit from Payson Park !!!!!

I thought it was gonna be a story about a drunk guy named gator. As a post script, one time we were at DED and my 4 year old daughter opened the gate by the finish line and walked on the track as the horses were returning to be unsaddled.
