![]() i knw another thread asked this question but why do you think the payoffs for exacta and trifecta $64 and $438 were so low considering war pass ran out of the money both total pools were above normal and look at the show prices ?

![]() The exacta only paid $66 because if War Pass ran bad - BY FAR and away the most likely outcome of the race would become Big Truck 1st followed by Atoned 2nd.
The exacta did not pay suspiciously low - especially when you consider that the story/rumor of War Pass not doing so well for a day was circulating before the race. |

![]() The public will often box the top three horses in the race in Exacta's, and the top four in trifectas... so even if the favorite runs out a lot of tix have the 2nd, 3rd and 4th strings covered.

![]() Crist's explanation seems very logical. I think the people who had it probably feel they should have been awarded more for having the guts to throw out War Pass.
