Default Vermont Leads the Way

From the great state of Vermont, where citizens are bold enough to have their voices heard. Their "grass roots" actions demonstrate the true meaning of democracy.
Pais...be proud about your fellow Vermonters!

I'm not sure that this was the "surge" they had in mind.

Shocking that the author of a book on impeachment would write a story on some nuts from Vermont stirring up talk about imeachment

Nothing shocks me anymore.
Those "nuts" in Vermont refuse to remain silent.
Good for them!

Who cares what a bunch of frozen tree huggers say or want. The impeachment ship has sailed. Americans have the right to do a lot of things but you get no support from me when you hop on an issue that 70% of the people already feel the same way. Not that there is any chance of impeachment but just the passing of a resolution and Congress wasting time on this topic harms our country. Let it go maple slurpers.

I call them bitter people who are still mad that they lost the election twice and will do anything to try to take down Bush. Only a idealist that lives in a dream world can think that #1 they actually have a chance to get this done; #2 that it would be beneficial to the country as a whole to have impeachment hearings while we have troops in harms way and are facing a possible nuclear crisis in Iran. For all the publicity that the war protestors have gotten, what have they really got accomplished ? You have a voice in this country and it can be exercised every November. The people spoke last November. Publicity seeking liberals or conservatives who want to stir **** aren't patriots. They are foolish.

With all due respect, I chose not to call others names in hopes of winning a debate. Logic and persuasive agruments would suffice.
I see that I will not change your beliefs, nor will you mine.
Let's leave it at that.

There is no winning or losing. I will amend my post to say that they are foolish instead of saying that they are fools.

Honestly though...these people drive me nuts...I lean to the left of liberal but this is an issue that is just a waste of time IMO. The front page of the paper today had a big article about how a bunch of towns that I can't even find (and I live here) voted to impeach Bush...who the f*ck cares? we have much larger problems in this state to worry about that we actually COULD do something about but instead choose to focus on an unwinnable pipe dream...yeah, hooray for VT.

I am far from a liberal but I felt the same way when the Repubs wasted millions on Monicagate. It just encourages too many dimwits in Congress to latch onto a movement to boost their own standing. We have enough problems in this country to fight unwinnable fights amongst ourselves.

that was good south park...but then, aren't they all.

i agree with cannon. just like i thought the non binding resolution that congress voted on was ridiculous. we have kids going hungry, seniors living hand to mouth, rampant waste, a war in two countries, two enemies working toward going nuke, and china sayin they want to be a military superpower. glad to see our leaders have their priorities in order! they are there to do the peoples business, so quit wasting time and DO some business!!!
non binding resolution. BFD!! who got fed because of that? who got a roof over their head? what problem was solved?
