Default 2/7: Santa Anita (Late P4)

Back in brutally cold New York for the week, and it convinces me that the Florida gig ain't so awful... The weather frosted out Philly Park looks for Tuesday, and fear of cancellation shied me from AQU for Wednesday, so Santa Anita it is Wednesday!

Got lucky for readers Saturday at Gulfstream with a $400 P4 play made possible by the outrageous 100-1+ Hal's My Hope in the nightcap. Good thing too, as anyone who caught it wouldn't have been happy with a tiny payout for any of the other inclusions after Invasor, Naissance Royale and Nobiz chalked out the first three quarters of the quad! Glad some people caught it...

SELECTIONS -- SANTA ANITA

(he knows I am playing, I didn't have time to get it and I always miss the 5th race so I have to play the late three instead of four)

Don't know if THIS was the one to jump on.. Where were you Saturday for the GP score? Or the previous SA '4' pop? Got to get by this 5th... Tough group of races anyway, but this 5th had me scratching my head!

Maybe the play is an overlap of Rootdog and me... One common horse in each leg... 4-4-2-4..

You know.. it's a tough game. I thought that 5th was VERY quirky, but felt very good about the winner. I thought the key was how much the 1 and 7 would cancel each other. Expected a good stretchout try from the 7, but really was trying to get the 4 into the exacta... I had a good buzz off him when I capped. Winner (6-1) and the 4 (14-1) got off at silly odds...

congrats guys!....keep it going. I was not impressed by what I saw in the pp's for tap it light and I got beat....I expected a quicker pace as well as more from Gomez and Gallagher...and ole Michael Baze moved a little slow with the slower then expected pace. After watching the race, It was an obvious prep for Victorian Prince and I was most impressed by the effort of Bitter Bill, looked good stalking on the first stretch out.

4 is a watch horse for next out.. And my 7 broke badly... I didn't care for the Baffert-Mig thing at all, and was getting nervous about leaving her out...
