Default 1/27: Sunshine Millions/Magna 5

Deep and contentious fields fill the Sunshine Millions cards at Gulfstream and Santa Anita Saturday, and the Magna 5 kicks off its' run with the inclusion of Laurel's Nellie Morse. Most propositions today appear exceedingly tricky, with wide spreads looking necessary with an event in the Millions that regularly produces unexpected results. Tread lightly or play wildly...

In addition to the bi-coastal action, stakes at AQU, TP, TBD, FG and OP round out the day...

Bman,

That's a problem the day before a race generally.. Most trainers never like a horse getting away from the a.m. rider, but grin and bear it well in advance of a race. It means the horse is feeling good and wants to stay out and expend energy, but you don't want him/her doing it the day before a big race.

Would love to hear from Honu (our resident California exercize rider) about this.. She would have most likely been out on the track when it happened. Did anyone see it on Santa Anita Workout Cam?

I read about it on the Delmar forum someone else on there said the same thing that the horse was feeling good and it depended on how fast he ran etc, was thinking of singling but will rethink now. Thanks for responding.

He probably didn't work out, just was out on track.

If he did run off for that long and far, I think I might have to leave him out of my PK5 plays.

My late Pick 3 at Gulf looks very similar

Coli Bear, Get Cozy and Swap Flip w/ May Night, Miss Shop, Rich In Spirit and Charmsil w/ Silver Wagon, Papi Chulo and SNS

If this hits should be a nice one

Off to work and can't wait to get home and watch how it all unfolds, what a great day of racing. Full fields and all.

Good luck everyone

My Magna PK5;

Leg A: #2
Leg B: #1,#3,#6,#7,#9
Leg C: #4,#7,#11,#12
Leg D: #11
Leg E: #5,#7,#12

1 X 5 X 4 X 1 X 3 = $60. X $2 = $120.

Angry Hit 1 TRI, barely missed 2 others...

I hit that TRI in SA Race 2 with Mistical Plan. Paid $401 and change. Then I proceeded to blow my profits on bad TRI ticket structures the rest of the day. We need to talk about TRI ticket structures in depth if it hasn't been done already...!!! Ripping my hair out

Good job Bob.. Guess the P4 was a drop-kick...

I'd be curious to see what horses he used, but, being smarter than me, he charges people for his opinion..
