Like Sir Greeley in here 2nd off the layoff with a lot of speed up front, but does anyone think that Introspect has a chance? I liked his last against Sharp Humor and Gold and Roses - beaten only 1 1/4 - and gets 9 & 7 lbs from the faves. His most recent works seem to be very solid and I think he may be sitting on a big one.

I love the weights in this race, very refreshing. Sir Greeley is pretty much my favorite horse in training but I think this is a waste. He should be in the Cigar Mile. Six furlongs is a little short for him and he really has nothing to lose if Discreet Cat beats him in the Mile. I agree that he is sitting on a big one.

Crafty Cammack was SENSATIONAL last time out at Delaware off the claim for Sandy Robbins/Tony Dutrow.
His number was freaky good, and he needed time off that start to try and avoid regression. Hes been working along super and jumpinng out of his skin ready to roll.
Hes got tactical speed and should lay off the Kazoo/Afrashaad pissing match up front.
I think he rolls in here.

Hooves, I think hes in there as a rabbit(for Mr. Whitestone of course, ).
I think he takes out Afrashaad, and Cammack lays off him.

Actually, they seem a bit low for a highweight handicap. In a regular handicap, the handicapper is supposed to start at 126 (wfa for 4 and up) for the best horse and subtract pounds for each of the lesser animals, depending on how much worse than the topweight they are. In a highweight handicap, the starting point is supposed to be 140 lbs. Were there horses nominated who were 6 lbs. (what is that, what? 2 lengths?) better than Sir Greeley? But it is nice to see a significant range of weights for horses with a significant range of accomplishments.

Not positive but I would guess Silver Train may have been nominated and assigned 140.

I agree with you Mike, my top pick here and will use Ironton & Lucky Gamble
underneath. A turkey day swing for the fences

Yes! He will get the garden trip behind the significant speedballs in here, Castellano stays on, and the trainer doesn't win much but this is his meet to do it in (note the fact that he's 4.7% on the year but in his 10 starters this meet he's got a win, a 2nd, and a 3rd.)

As my buddy Sniper noted, his boy Sir Greeley is more suited to 7F-1Mi than 6F, and I can't see Afrashad getting away on an easy lead even though one of the speeds was scratched (Lucky Gamble... which would have been a sentimental choice, a personal favorite of mine for his 2/25 win completing the Pick 6 for me!) Afrashad either wins, barely holds third, or is off the board completely... Mr. Whitestone and Crafty Cammack are the obvious other contenders. Can't see Kazoo getting a piece.

I'm going to key Introspect in the trifecta with my additional opinion on Afrashad's placing:
2/1,5,6/1,3,5,6 $3 - $27
3,5,6/2/1,5,6 $2 - $16
3,5,6/1,5,6/2 $1 - $8

$51 investment.
