Default Christmas and New Years Day, Play or not to Play

As in past years we take the day off around Christmas, especially when it falls on a Saturday. More important to take the time to relax and enjoy your family, friends in real life.

New Years Day is quesionable too but lets vote on it. Majority rules. Put your votes in this thread. To Play or Not to Play on New Years Day, it's 2022 by the way

Thanks . . . MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

While I enjoy horseracing I'm going to have to say no to New Years Day. I will have little to no time to handicap on New Years Eve.

I agree completely with your decision not to have a contest on Christmas Day. I believe that most if not all tracks will be dark anyhow.

As for New Year's Day, my vote is to take the day off. I guess that I feel a bit "handicapped out" and might benefit from the brief freshening. If the group decision is to play, I'll still participate.

I don't imagine there is much or any racing going on Xmas or New Years so I think the decision has been made for us. If not, still probably best to take those two days off and who knows, maybe someone will give us a book for Christmas on handicapping. I think I could use one.

I AM NOT INTO ANY RELIOUS CELEBRATIONS

DO NOT CARE ABOUT NEW YEARS EITHER

SO I AM UP FOR PLAYING ANY DAY OF THE YEAR

DOES THAT MAKE ME “ HORSE OBSESSED “

U BETCHA!

I don't think we have the option of playing on Christmas. DRF has no listings for Christmas or Christmas Eve, but there actually are some pretty nice races on New Year's day so I wouldn't mind playing then, but I'm sure there are those that would rather watch football then or maybe recover from New Years celebrations. I guess I'm showing my age. Haven't been to a New Year's celebration in about 30 years. Can't say I miss it much.

I completely spaced out participating yesterday, would have been all over Center Aisle, sucked to miss out on that and also since I'll just be home with my dogs all through the holidays am up for playing New Year's but seems like most participants don't want to and I'm fine with that also.

Happy Holidays everyone!
