![]() A superstar in New Zealand, she'll be on her way shortly.
Her record is 5-0-1 from 7. (She was 4th in the Australian Oaks this past weekend but considering she came out of the race with a slight injury...) http://www.stuff.co.nz/waikato-times...-career-in-USA Replay of her winning the NZ Derby (... and this was a tough field, especially with this years other VERY tough filly Fix (6-1-2 from 11) in it)... http://www.nzracing.co.nz/RaceInfo/4...ce-Detail.aspx Click on her name (which means my dearest one) to see her other races. ![]() A loss for NZ racing but it certainly is our gain. |

![]() She is amazing - considerably better than Crossing The Line, who you may remember. If she's fully recovered from that leg injury and acclimatises to US conditions, I'd expect her to do really, really well. I hope so, anyway! Brilliant filly.
Go Habibi! ![]() One of my favourite shots of her in action - although even this doesn't quite do justice to her stride. ![]() |

![]() Reading up on her story and it noted that she was sold to majority owner Augustin stable and would be trained by Graham Motion. Apparently she has had quite a time to acclimate and is now in California. Who trains for Augustin stable in California?

![]() well it's nice to see Dan Blacker finally get a potential runner in his stable, he certainly knows what to do with grass runners given his training and experience.

![]() Definitely seems to be one of the good guys. I sent him an email this week asking for some comments about Habibi, thinking it was unlikely that I'd get anything but it was worth a shot. Dan sent a fantastic and detailed reply. It's gonna make a great story over the next couple of days. He didn't have to do that, and I really appreciate it.
